I would like to take a minute and praise a company and someone that’s very deserving. If the time ever comes when a loving pet is dying and in pain, let me suggest calling Dr. Kim Simpson. She started Paws At Peace to help people like my wife and me. Our wonderful Catahoula Leopard Dog, Tanner, was suffering with lymphoma. This little 3-legged rescue dog was doing well and enjoying life when all of a sudden he couldn’t get up, had a hard time breathing, and was trembling in pain. He was confused by it all and kept looking at us as if to say, “What’s all this? What’s wrong with me?” I made an appointment to take him to our vet to have him euthanized. Before our 5:30 appointment, I googled “at home euthanasia”. I called Dr. Simpson crying like a school girl. She came right away and lovingly put our guy in a deep sleep before administering the final injection.
Her kindness and calmness was essential for us as well as Tanner. I can’t recommend her enough. While I hope you never need services like this, it’s comforting to know it can take place in a home setting instead of dragging your friend to a vet clinic where they can be apprehensive.
Thank you, Dr. Simpson. We’ll never forget you.
